Our Current Projects

We plan our events around the cycles of the natural world. Every year gives us a new opportunity to try new things and see what works.

Early Spring – Community Sugarbush

Starting in late January and lasting until late March, we work together to tap the maple trees at the Trailway campground by Montague Foods.

Summer & Fall – Firewood Fridays

The sugarbush takes several cords of small-diameter firewood every year. Luckily, sustainably gathering and processing that firewood can be an opportunity to connect with the forest and with each other.

Year-round: Community Preparedness

Learn how to organize your neighbors to take care of each other during the next power outage, blizzard, or other emergency.

Our Future Dreams

These are goals we’re working towards on a 5-20 year timeline

A Local Recycling Co-op

  • Turn local disposable plastics into durable useful goods
  • Provide good jobs
  • Worker-owned and democratically governed

An Oral History of the Local Land

  • Interview local elders about their experiences of nature when they were children
  • Record those who are willing, and make the conversations available as a podcast
  • Connect elders who have land-based or artisan skills with young people who want to learn those skills

Every bit that we do matters.

Solidarity beats division every time.
